This location is unbeatable. Our room was so close to the ocean it honestly felt like we were right on top of it — we could have thrown a baseball straight into the water. Waking up to the sound and view of the ocean every day was incredible. We loved our room, especially the private jacuzzi on the balcony, which was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The room itself was comfortable, clean, and exactly what we were hoping for. The only reason for four stars instead of five is the food, which was just average. We did rent a car, which made getting to and from town easy and helped us save on taxi costs. Overall, this was a fantastic stay, and we would absolutely book here again without hesitation.
They need half stars, Playa Azul is a sold 4.5. Everyone is really nice and helpful. While the place is on the older side, it's still beautiful and you can tell they really try to keep up with maintenance. It was clean and staff were always nearby. The food was really good and if you wanted to, could stay in and have all meals there. It's a short trip to town ($10 each way +tip), and there are 3 places to eat across the street. The beach is absolutely beautiful and they keep it very clean.
I loved this hotel. We were staying at the all inclusive iberostar and broke our time up and chose this hotel. Glad we did. Food was good, snorkeling good, not many beach chairs you need to get down early to get your towel on one. Close to boccanos restaurant which is 5 star. The lobster house was also great. Restaurants close by.
Amazing little place with super friendly staff. On the north of the island so you need a car but beautiful sea and super chill atmosphere. Well worth what it cost!
The location of this hotel is absolutely unbeatable, you are right on the ocean! The hotel is CLEAN. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The food is good, especially the breakfast, which is a full breakfast. This is a smaller hotel which we personally prefer over the big all inclusive resorts because of the personality of the place. We highly recommend Playa Azul and definitely will return. Bonus, the quaint and cozy and perfect Lobster House is directly across the street. Extra Bonus, the on site spa is wonderful!
Cute hotel about 10 minutes to town by car. We had numerous issues with this hotel which we fully explained to the hotel through our Expedia review. There were 4 in our group and each shared the same concerns about internet problems, TV problems, Aircon problems, etc..The upside was the staff who were really nice and friendly.
This has been our go to hotel in Cozumel for many years. Good snorkeling and wonderful staff. Its not as bright and and shiny as the Westin next door but thats why we like it
We just came to do some snorkeling 200 pesos mexicains per person as a deposit for entry which if you consume gets deducted from your final tab and you get a Free deckchair too Cocktails are fairpriced and actually quite good
